Enjoying Nature

Akasha Retreat Centre is set on approximately 20 acres of land, with most of this being natural bush.  All guests are welcome to wander through the trees and bushes at their own leisure.  By day you can enjoy watching the various birdlife – eagles, hawks, magpies, kookaburras, finches, wrens, robins… plus many more.  As well as enjoying all the native flora that keeps changing with the seasons.  In the evenings the wombats, kangaroos and wallabies are never too far away, and you may be fortunate enough to spot an owl.

On those cold winters days it is always beautiful to curl up in front of the woodfire and watch the storms pass by through the valley.

Sunsets and sunrises are usually quite spectacular, and of course the night sky is so clear that it seems that you can see forever.

What to do while you are here?

You may choose to just relax in the lounge area and read, meditate or just snooze.  There is also a sitting room available for reading, games, puzzles, or just a quiet space.

Champagne on the balcony to watch the sunset is a must on those summer evenings.

“Al fresco” dining in the warmer months, and sitting by the cozy fire when the weather is a little cooler.

For the shoppers there are various farmers markets and craft markets held regularly in the area.

There are many places to visit in the region - wineries, alpaca farms, orchards, dairies, potteries … and the list goes on.  Just let us know what you are interested in and we will endeavour to accommodate you.
